No Takers For Integrated Bus Complex Project

There are no takers for the construction of the proposed Integrated Bus Terminus-cum-Business Centre which the Hyderabad Metropolitan Development Authority (HMDA) has proposed at the old Gandhi Hospital site.
Saturday was the last date for filing of financial bids and request for proposals (RFP) but the HMDA got no response. HMDA had invited global tenders to take up the works.
“The lack of response could be due to the global meltdown. We might once again invite tenders,” HMDA chief engineer Vivek Deshmukh told TOI.
This was the second time that HMDA invited tenders for the proposed Bus Terminus-cum-Business Centre as it did not find any bidders even during the first time four months ago. HMDA had then relaxed some rules and invited fresh tenders but the second time around too there were no bidders.
