The skyline of the capital, which has not had a proper high-rise till date, will see some changes. The twin cities will soon boast of its tallest-ever building constructed till date at Tellapur.

HUDA’s multi-storeyed building committee has cleared the building plan for a 30-storeyed residential complex proposed to be constructed by the real estate group – Aliens. The complex will house 2,025 apartments and is coming up over 18.5 acres and will go up to a height of 87 metres.

Upwards is the norm

There was a proposal to have swimming pools right on the terrace but it was negated. The distinction of being the tallest building could be its own for some time to come after completion, considering that all other proposals of constructing skyscrapers of 100 or 70-storeyed complexes are yet to fructify. Going high seems to become the norm for new residential and office complexes in the western part of the city where hectic growth is happening in places like Gachibowli, Kondapur, Izzatnagar, Gopanpally, etc.

Hectic activity

“There is lot of activity in the concept of tall buildings and it is picking up despite rising costs. Such buildings need adequate setback space of 16 metres all round and should be equipped with NOCs from the Fire and Emergency Department as well as the Airport Authority of India,” said an official.
