Property developers are constantly exploring new strategies to lure prospective buyers. With each project, there is an introduction of a new scheme to provide a comfortable living for the buyers.
Gone are the days, when real estate developers’ role was just limited to building a home and giving possession certificates to residents. With changed lifestyles, the developers were required to be sensitive enough to provide all the facilities to make living exciting, comfortable and easy.
Now most of the real estate companies are vying with each other in providing amenities and requirements for property buyers. Some of the facilities offered through these exclusive services are tele-medicine, travel (air, road and rail), banking, creche, domestic help, groceries, event management, beauty parlour services, movie tickets, gardening, house shifting, school pick-up and drop, pet care, old age entertainment, bill payments, house keeping, hotel reservation, catering, system maintenance, vehicle service etc.
Leading Bangalore-based real estate company Mantri Developers, is all set to launch tele-medicine for its property buyers in its upcoming projects in Hyderabad.
This concept has been recently introduced for the first time in India in a Residential complex in Mantri Espana, a super-luxury residential complex located at Sarjapur, Outer Ring Road in Bangalore. The company now wants to replicate the concept in Hyderabad and Chennai. Mantri Developers has tied-up with domestic healthcare giant Apollo Hospitals Group to offer this unique service.
“With busy lifestyles, working professionals are finding little time for health care and also major cities are facing traffic problems putting patients’ conditions at risk. The tele-medicine could solve many of these problems. The concept which so far has been tried out between hospitals located in different geographical locations, will make its debut in homes, where with the help of broadband and V-Sat links, residents could access instant medical advice from hospital experts,” said Ms Snehal Mantri, director, Mantri Developers.
Currently, the group is working on two projects in Hyderabad including a residential cum commercial complex in Madhapur and another 900-unit residential project in Madhapur. The company plans to invest Rs 150 crore in the two projects and plans to invest as much as Rs 500 crore in Hyderabad market over two years.
“The residential project will have video conferencing unit, state-of-the art equipment to handle people discussing their problems and broadband internet connection to reach the doctors. People with health problems could sit and talk to specialist doctors along with their medical reports.
The tele-medicine unit will enable doctors from Apollo Hospitals to virtually examine patients from a distance through video conferencing,” she said.
Clinical information, including blood pressure and ECG can be transmitted from the tele-medicine centre remotely. Post-diagnosis medicines will be prescribed and supplied and ongoing treatments maintained through tele-consultations. In case of emergency, ambulances stationed at strategic points in the city will be ready for hospital admissions.
“There will be no user fee to avail this facility. Residents need not pay anything to the company.
They have to pay only for diagnosis and other healthcare proceedings,” Ms Snehal said.
