International Aviation 2008 Conference To Be Held At Hyderabad

Shri Praful Patel, Hon’ble Minister of Civil Aviation, Govt. of India launched India Aviation 2008, the first international exhibition of its kind in India on Civil Aviation Sector. The exhibition is being organized by Ministry of Civil Aviation, Govt. of India jointly with Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce & Industry from October 15-18, 2008 at Hyderabad. The conference is titled ‘Indian Aviation: Scaling New Heights’.
The show will be organized at Hyderabad Airport on Sardar Patel Road . It will mainly focus on various issues pertaining to the civil aviation sector and hold exhibition of flying displays and customer demonstration flights.
“INDIA AVIATION 2008″ which is blended with the perfect ingredients that makes a show successful was received very enthusiastically by the Industry. The booming Indian Aviation Sector and the most powerful exhibition organizing set up, comprising of Ministry of Civil Aviation, the nodal ministry having under it’s domain the leading aviation organizations including Airports Authority of India (AAI), Air India, Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) & Pawan Hans Helicopters Ltd., FICCI, the apex business organisation of Indian Industry with experience in organizing Aero India 2007 at Bangalore and Farnborough International Limited, the Organisers of Farnborough Airshow promises & ensures both tremendous business opportunities, good & skillful management of the show.
A CEOs Forum will also be organised during the event, where leading CEOs of aviation sector will be invited for an interactive session with the civil aviation minister.
Ficci senior assistant director Kavita Sharma said: “Civil aviation is growing at a very fast rate. This is a platform we are providing the industry to do business. Our focus is to make it an Asia-Pacific show.”
To give civil aviation industry in India a common platform, the organisers have decided to hold this event every two years. Ficci has specially formed a steering committee for this show, which will organise and execute the event.
“We are hoping that more than 200 exhibitors will participate in the show,” Sharma said. Around 50 companies like Boeing and various airlines have already been finalised. The ministry is also expecting delegates from aviation sector from 21 countries.
