Emaar MGF, one of India’s leading real estate developers, has partnered with Marriott International Inc., a leading international hospitality company, to design, construct and equip luxury-branded JW Marriott Hotels in New Delhi, Hyderabad, Kolkata and a ‘Courtyard by Marriott’ hotel in Amritsar, with a total investments of over $400 million.
The hotel projects are likely to be completed by 2010-end, according to a release.
As part of the agreement, Emaar MGF will be the owner and developer of the proposed hotels and Marriott International should provide advisory and management services for the planning, design, construction and operations.
JW Marriott Jasola of Delhi is proposed with 300-room in two towers. JW Marriott in Hyderabad is planned to have 250-room and will come up at HITEC City as a part of Emaar MGF’s sprawling 531-acre integrated township in the IT hub of Hyderabad.
Set amidst vast expanse of greenery, ensconced within Emaar MGF’s International standard 18-hole championship golf course, natural boulders and water bodies, this luxurious property will be surrounded by some of the biggest IT companies of India.
JW Marriott in Kolkata will have 250 rooms with an assortment of collective amenities including a spacious and tranquil pool terrace and spa, high-end restaurants and trendy eateries.
The property is strategically situated on the EM Bypass that has emerged as one of the most preferred destinations for industry. It will also have an executive lounge on the 19th floor overlooking the city. The ‘Courtyard by Marriott’ Amritsar will be the first business hotel in the city with a 112-room property and would also have a mall and a multiplex.
The Managing Director Mr. Gupta was in Mumbai to announce the partnership with hospitality brand Marriott International.
