Foundation stone for four varsities soon

The foundation stones for four universities in Mahabubnagar district will be laid by Chief Minister Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy.
While one of the universities will be set up by the government, Tata Institute of Social Sciences to set up one at Mamimdipally village in Kothur mandal, Symbiosis International University and Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies at Jadcherla.
In addition, the government has allotted land to Georgia Tech University for setting up its campus near Mucherla on Mahabubnagar Ranga Reddy border, Rural Development Minister G. Chinna Reddy said.
A delegation of the universities called on Chief Minister Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy at the Secretariat on Thursday.
The delegation was apprised of the efforts being made to set up an IIM , three IIITs and a university each in all the districts.
