The Rs 60 crore-project to modernise slaughter houses is likely to be delayed with the Union department of food officials putting a spanner on Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation’s plan to modernise and reopen four of the five slaughterhouses in the city.
The food department officials said the detailed project report, submitted by the corporation, is incomplete and suggested that the corporation must mention the cost of the land on which the project will be grounded. This will make the corporation’s stand clear.
