Ista Hotel and Spa, the Hyderabad-based five star deluxe business hotel owned and managed by IHHR Hospitality Pvt Ltd, has tied up with Emaar Properties, for introducing spa and golf joint packages for its clientele. The hotel is also in the process of adding new rooms and food and beverage outlets to the property by 2010.
The property presently has around 40 per cent occupancy and is aiming to increase it. Therefore, it has lined up certain marketing and promotional packages. Besides this, the property is also in the process of introducing weeklong spa packages for the hotel’s non-residents.
“The entire area consists of about 16.6 acres of land, of which we have developed only around four acres,” says Jaideep Anand, General Manager, Hotel Ista, Hyderabad. The group will also develop its nearby spa institute by 2008 end.
Although the property’s expansion plans are being finalised, the hotel will look at adding around 120 more rooms to its existing inventory.
Talking about the new food and beverage outlets, Anand elaborates that a speciality restaurant and a club bar outlet are also under consideration.
The property will start operations of Ista Spa, the new spa brand that the group is launching for its hotels under the Ista brand across India. The hotel will launch six treatment rooms to its property in Hyderabad and will start operations for the same by January 21, 2008.
“We will not provide facilities and treatments as extensive as Ananda Spa, but will provide complete solutions including Ayurveda, Kerala, Oriental, European and mud therapy treatments,” says Anand . The group will start operations of its Amritsar property by end 2008. They will launch operations at Pune and Ahmedabad hotels in 2009.
