Chief Minister YS Rajasekhara Reddy on Tuesday cleared the hurdles for establishing the Odyssey Science City in Anantapur district.
The Odyssey Science City (India) Private Limited was represented by a delegation led by Christopher John Baker, Sr Vice President, Corporate Development and others.
Chief Minister solved the problem of land acquisition by asking the APIIC to take over the work.
He asked the Odyssey Science City to remit the cost of the land to APIIC and APIIC in turn will acquire the land and hand it over to the company.
The land acquisition will strictly be by consent only, the land owners will be given as promised Rs.1.5 lakh for dry land and Rs.2 lakh for wet land per acre. The company would need about 10,000 acres of land in the first phase.
Major Industries Minister Geeta Reddy, Adviser to Govt KVP Ramachandra Rao, Principal Secretary Industries Sam Bob, Commissioner, Industries, NK Prasad and other officials attended the meeting.
