HMR New Year Planner released

Loading ...Chief Minister Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy directed the Hyderabad Metro Rail (HMR) officials to speed up the project implementation. He was releasing the HMR’s New Year planner – 2008 in his chambers on Monday.
HMR Managing Director N.V.S. Reddy informed him that rail survey works had been completed and peg marking was going on.
He said there would be three metro rail corridors in phase - I covering a total of 66.39 km. It is proposed to have metro rail station at every one to one-and-half kilometre. About 63 rail stations were being proposed to be set up, he said.
Mr. Reddy said HMR was taking up one of the biggest metro rail projects in the world under private public partnership.
Senior technocrats from the Planning Commission, Ministry of Urban Development, Government of India, would be holding a meeting on Tuesday to finalise the technical performance criteria and safety standards, he said. Stanley Babu, Advisor to Government, MA & UD, was also present, a press release said.
