BITS City Campus Opens Its Gates

The Hyderabad campus of Birla Institute of Technological Sciences (BITS), Pilani will open its gates from the academic year 2008-09 and an additional stream of Electronics and Communication Engineering would be offered exclusively in Hyderabad apart from other regular streams of engineering education being offered at Pilani and Goa centres.

Rs 6600 crore for schools

Chief Minister Y S Rajasekhara Reddy said the State Government would spend around Rs 6600 crore to improve 651 residential schools in the State.
In an interview to a private news channel here on Monday, he said CBSE syllabus would be introduced in these schools, which would be beneficial to around 4.20 lakh students.
