GHMC Emergency Control Room Set Up

Loading ...The Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation has set up a special emergency monsoon control room at its head office at Tank Bund to be functional round-the-clock. Citizens can call up phones: 23221978, 23222018 & 23261330. Staff in this special cell would work in three shifts – 8 a.m. to 3 p.m., 3 p.m. to 10 p.m. and 10 p.m. to 8 a.m.
Details to be recorded
They will attend to all calls and record details to inform to the authorities concerned for taking necessary action in coordination with other squads in the zones.
This cell is in addition to the 24-hour central emergency office at Banjara Hills (phones: 233944566/23314289) and emergency teams in all zones, the details of which were published earlier in these columns.
CPDCL numbers
The Central Power Distribution Company of A.P. (CPDCL) has appealed to the general public not to walk under overhead power lines or touch support poles or transformers during rain or gale. If they notice snapped wires the department should be informed immediately.
Appeal to public
Garbage or waste materials should not be thrown into the transformer fencing since it can cause short circuit.
