The State Government plans to invite global tenders to create a mega business-cum-trade tower/towers modelled either on the Malaysian Petronas Towers or Sears Towers in the US.
Towards this, the Andhra Pradesh Industrial Infrastructure Corporation Ltd (APIIC), the nodal agency for implementation of such projects, has been allotted about 100 acres at Manchirevula village in Ranga Reddy district. The project will come up on the outer ring road (ORR) on the route to the greenfield international airport project near Shamshabad.

According to the APIIC Chairman, Mr A. Rambabu, the services of consultants Capital Fortunes have been enlisted to facilitate the project work, and efforts would be made to complete it around the time the new international airport project would be ready by 2008.
Initially, the Government had contemplated a structure modelled on the Petronas, and a State delegation had toured Kaula Lampur to have a firsthand account of the project as also its occupants.

But as it transpires, the Government would like to develop a landmark project, with a distinct identity. A blueprint of what shape the project would take up will be ready within three months. The project will come up on the outer ring road (ORR) on the route to the Rajiv Gandhi Greenfield International Airport near Shamshabad.
